This
introductory course begins with describing the core elements of Nextflow. This is followed by a hands-on tutorial where participants implement a proof-of-concept RNA-seq pipeline. The goal is to become familiar with basic concepts, including how to define parameters, use channels for data and write processes to perform tasks. We then introduce how to build and use containers and finish with how to run pipelines in the cloud.
Prerequisites- The workshop requires participants to have a basic knowledge of Linux shell programming and include all materials and preconfigured compute environment in the cloud.
- A laptop with a modern web browser and access to a Linux/Unix shell
